Welcome to the forum.

How do you know it's an autorun virus? It seems more like a hardware related problem to me, since software, or malware, do not cause such problems of computer not being able to power on.

The problem seems hardware related, and if you do not get any solution here, I would suggest taking the PC to a local tech and getting it checked. Maybe the CPU is getting hot, and shutting down the PC. Or, maybe some other hardware problem.

hm sounds like a rootkit virus (not sure on name)? I haven't heard of this since the late 90s/early 2000s or around then...

I vaguely remember viruses creating new folders on bootup, you can disable most of them from msconfig then go and find them in safe mode/delete them. go back to normal mode then scan/clean with AV.

The problem OP has with it booting up but then powering off, sounds like a heat issue on the CPU to me as well, like anupam suggested. Or there's a short somewhere in the system

IMHO, you should get help from a reputable site like Bleeping Computer. They have many experts that are experienced with dealing with infected computers.

Can you boot into Safe Mode?
(press F8 when booting up)
If you can get into Safe Mode with Networking you can do some troubleshooting, or, if there's a restore point previous to this issue you might be able to restore your computer to an earlier time.
