The several Avast! users here will maybe disagree with me, but IMO it's only easy to manage if you make the effort to learn how. This is in no way a criticism of anyone and I can fully appreciate why folks would rather be doing other things. I would say straight out install MSE. So long as you are careful which sites you enter, and take care with downloads (see here for suggestions) then MSE and Windows firewall will be plenty good enough.

I have opened this thread again, and moved the posts from the Avast thread to here.. since that thread was about Avast, and started by someone else... whereas this query is about MSE, and the other thread would have gone off topic with the discussion and/or comparison about MSE and Avast.
It's better to start a new thread, rather than hijacking thread started by someone else. Also, the same query was posted in three different places. I have deleted posts from other two places. We do not allow duplicate posting. So, please post in one place, and have patience, and someone will answer the query. About your query, since you have already used Avast, you can try MSE and see if you like it. It is also a very good and simple to use antivirus. You can see which one you like, as both are good antivirus, but Avast certainly has more features.
