I am running a duel boot system with Vista Business / Windows 7 pro 64. This is on my lap top. The other day when booting into W7 the comp seem to freeze. I had to remove the batt to reboot. Now it wont boot into Win 7. Boots into vista just fine and all files on Win 7 partition are fine and accesable. It just wont boot. I have tried the tool options that come up during boot boot process. It seems that the may be a corrupted or damaged file not allowing boot. I dont sespect a virus. I need a way to fix this without loosing all my installed programs. Any ideas?
Thanks, |

You may have a BCD (Boot Control Data) problem. Options include:
EasyBCD http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...ies-easily.htm bcdedit http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_w...rst.htm?page=4

Hi sbunker1 and welcome to the forum!
![]() I am not that expert on dual boot issues but take a look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392 You state you don't suspect a virus but running a full system scan with your antivirus would be advisable in order to eliminate this as a possible cause. I hope this is of some help.
