Dial up Network Interface

Greetings everyone,
This is my first post and glad to have come here. I have been using Magitime 6.0 without any issues in my Windows XP for dialup related monitoring , and it is really accurate and Perfect. But in Windows 7.0 though the program would install fine the upload statistics would always be doubled , the download nearly accurate... I tried the compatibilty route and here are the findings.

Windows 95 /98 .. The program would install , run but will not monitor anything.

Windows XP .. The program would install and for some reasons close immediately. Clicking on the icon will start the application and close it immediately.

Can anyone suggest which object ,dll , driver in Win 7 conveys the statistics to other programs on query. I can have that replaced that with one from XP , if possible for a work around.

Welcome to the forum.

If a software is not developed for Windows 7, and it does not run properly even in the compatibility mode, there is little that can be done about it.

Wise thing would be to look for a Windows 7 version, if it has been released.

If the program is not developed anymore, then best would be to look for an alternate program.

In fact I am using a software from the list for Broadband related monitoring. But Magitime is a robust one for dialup which I wanted to continue with. What I was looking for is the particular module which any software taps from the Windows for the download upload statistics. The devoloper devolops further from this information. As I mentioned why the upload statistics seem doubled seems strange...
