Welcome to the forum

You can give Scribus a try.

It might be worth taking another shot at PagePlus -- the free version is probably not as powerful as Scribus, but it's an excellent learning tool and probably as powerful as most users would need.

Resurrecting an old thread here. I have been using Serif PagePlus SE for a good number of years. It was always one or two versions behind the latest paid version, but it was a great free option. Now Serif are abandoning Pageplus, Photoplus etc, and focusing on their new Affinity range. I can keep using PagePlus, or switch to Scribus, but just wondered, is there anything else new out there?

I'd say to stick with what you know for now.

Scribus is no real advantage for most users at least until they finally release 1.6.

Personally, I stopped using desktop publishing once word processors provided sufficient page placement and text-flow options ... back in the 1990s.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't missed anything then. I did try Lucidpress.com online as well but it is slow, on my internet connection, at least.
