PicPick screen capture problem in Firefox

Using Vista x64 hm prem, Firefox 7.0.1 & PicPick 3.0.8

Have had problems w/ PicPick capturing scrolling windows for at least latest & one prev. version - maybe 2.

It does scroll a bit, but doesn't capture the entire screen - stops well short of entire screen. Anyone having same problem or found solution? I contacted PicPick before about same - never got response.

Having sort of same problems w/ FastStone last free ver in Firefox. One FF version, it will capture scrolling screens, next ver or 2 it won't.

right now, only free screen capture I know that does scrolling screens is Fire Shot, & it's a PIA to use for many functions.

Thanks.

I stopped using PickPick some time ago. you may want to take a look here for another alternative.

Thanks. I've tried several now. Seems most don't advertise they'll do scrolling capture. This must've become more difficult w/ new browser changes.

Even some (like Screenshot Captor - #1 pick) that claim handle scrolling captures don't actually, in spite of claims. Their (SSC) forums & developer comments confirm this. If don't read their forums 1st, must jump thru a lot of hoops w/ their freeware license process for SSC to find out it won't capture scrolling screens.

Have you looked at this thread yet? http://www.techsupportalert.com/free...roll-down.html

I stopped updating PicPick at v3.0.5 and still use that. It won't scroll with FF 7.0.1 for me either, XP Pro. Tried it with a couple of other browsers with varying degrees of success so I think it's more to do with the browser than the OS.

You could always try using an earlier version of PicPick - maybe back to v3.0.0 or v3.0.1 because those versions scrolled, as mentioned in the thread that wdhpr has provided the link to.

You can download older versions from here - use the drop down menu to select which one you want to use. I downloaded a couple, scanned them, and the files are clean so it's worth a try if you really do need the scroll feature. But, as also mentioned in the other thread, the scrolling feature can be a bit hit and miss, depending on the browser you use.
