Hi,
Anyone here has been using FDM 3.5RC? I've been trying this for couple days. I have to say it's an amazing program, which works effectively, and all of which it's free. But I also see serious flaws of it. For my instance, it does not support unicode very well, even with the 3.5RC. Also it can cause IE to hang up in the background when I click to close browser windows. I've confirmed that by enabling/disabling the FDM add-on in IE. So any ideas about that? I tried to access to their forum, but page said error. 3.5RC has been in their forum for ages, will they develop it or not? Hope they don't just abandon such a "mighty sword", which is lack of polishing. ![]() Best regards, Tyler |

Beta or RC versions are generally not recommended for general everyday use. You should wait for the final version.
That said, Free Download Manager is not being updated regularly. Its been a long time since there was an update from them. I used to use FDM earlier, but since they stopped with the updates, I have turned to Orbit Downloader, and that's what I use nowadays. I don't think we will be seeing an update from FDM anytime soon.
