Default GUI or Console Version ???

I just downloaded two versions of a file hashing program, ExactFile.

http://www.exactfile.com/

I was uncertain just which I needed as I did not understand the difference in a GUI application and a console version.

Does one type install in the system as a program and the other not ?

If so, which is which ?

On edit, I just looked at a different page of the site and I see the console version is a command line version; I guess that would be above my learning.

Will the GUI choice install and show in "programs"

Thanks.

You are right. The console version is the command line version, and unless you know how to operate through command line, you shouldn't install it.

Go for the GUI version.
