Default Technical Drawing program

I looked on your site for a free tech drawing program, found one that was highly recommended, and followed the links to download it. The result? ABSOLUTELY USELESS. It wasn't a technical drawing program at all, but some antivirus or similar, that I didn't want. This was after clicking three "download" buttons in succession. What would be better would be programs that just download when you click the "download" button, and which turn out to be the program they claim to be.

By the way, the program was Google Sketchup.

If you did go to the link in the article here for Softpedia, then you need to make sure you click on the Mirror link.

Softpedia does have scam ads for other software (with the word "Download") as many sites unfortunately do now.

You will not see those if you use AdBlockPlus or some similar addon for your browser.

I found about it on this site, and went to the indicated source from the review here. I don't know what a mirror site is, or how to make sure I'm clicking on one.

I am linking to 2 screen shots showing where to click for the download.
The first has my AdBlockPlus disabled - this has a deceptive button called "Download".
The 2d image is with ABP enabled, so you can see how much cleaner the page is.

The links on this review:

for Google Sketchup point to Softpedia.

Which browser do you use? Do you have any ad blocking extensions installed?

If no, then you probably clicked on an advertisement link.

We recommend that you install an ad blocking extension on your browser, to prevent that in the future.

We can help with that if you want.
