Question Horrible windows live email!

HI, I HAVE WINDOWS LIVE EMAIL AND I HATE IT. but I have tried thunderbird, don't like it;mozilla?firefox? it now has horrible problems and stuff I don't want; that used to be good. not now.

I have Chrome browser, and once I learned it, I like it. but gmail, no way,its intrusive, unstable, and has no privacy. I dumped as much of google as I could, except for chrome, cuz google is so intrusive.

I just wanted a desk top based email with plenty of type faces, colors for them, and varied enough details. I have a hobby of collecting emoticons, only the animated ones, and windows live email has these capabilities; however, it constantly stops working, Iit keeps having to shut down, cuz its not working.

I suspect my centurylink internet service does not support it, or not well. But they only support a few email systems I don't want.the old outlook express was so good, they stopped making it!!I suspect free email that's good, bugs the hades out of microsoft, and they discontinued it. Microsoft has always been about making money, not giving us the best stuff--unless we really pay thru the nose for it.I refuse to buy expensive email from microsoft.

So what do I do,, to keep my windows live email from constantly stopping and closing, because of my internet company conflict, or trouble with the email itself? I tried to download a new version, copy, and it refuses to do that. I don't know how to take all my info off live, so i could completely dump all the old live mail program, and get a new one. And, I don't think somehow they let you do that.

i've done all the "repair live email" stuff too. no diff. It just keeps having connecting or other problems, says its stopped working, and decides to close. I already talked to the internet company, they said their email connection for me, is fine and works.I rarely have trouble with my internet connect, dsl. its plenty fast. so I doubt its the isp.

I have not found other free desk top email programs that have the same features as windows live email, except for the old free outlook express which Bill Gates has decided is too good for us, and decided to pull. so for now, windows live mail is it. thanks for any advice. even computer repair guys don't like to mess with email programs, mine likes firefox which freezes my computer I notice.not sure why, he says it doesn't do that to his.. (??)

Your ISP is extremely unlikely to be the problem. Mail interfaces and protocols are pretty standard and simple to operate. Your ISP would hear quickly if they had a problem affecting many mail users.

Your internet connection is unlikely to be the problem because Windows Live Mail and Firefox are relatively resilient. They don't require a permanent network connection to keep working, unlike online games, for example. Short drop-outs shouldn't stop them running either.

Given that you cannot run Firefox, then it is most likely to be a problem with Windows components.

I used Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail for a long time. Although I don't use Live Mail at the moment, it is very good for home users. The problems you have with Live Mail are not normal and suggest that you have underlying 'damage' somewhere on your system.

The first step is to get more information from you:
Do you ever get any error messages?
Do you have power problems: brown-outs, flickering lights, computers restarting without warning?
What version of Windows are you running?
What is your PC configuration: processor, memory, disk size, etc?
Has your computer been turned off without Windows shutting down properly?

I know it is a pain but have you tried to re-install or repair your Operating System.

A good start point should be you tell what features you use the most. Ex: I only use attachments so Outlook Cliente (from Windows 8.1) is just fine.
