Smile Problem with handbrake ripper?

Anybody else have the problem of handbrake saying your screen resolution is set to low . . .no matter how you set it? 860 to 1440 ?
And so will not let you run it? I am running windows 7? Can anybody help me get it going. . . Or suggest another good free dvd ripper. . . Winx worked but i get no audio in the files i ripped ???? I am happy to
be a member here and i hope that i maybe of some help to others with problems or suggestions about freeware.
