Unhappy Quotepad got corrupted--what to do?

I was using Quotepad and we got a sudden blackout. When power was restored, I turned my computer on and found that Quotepad stopped working. I could not see my notes anymore. I got a message to the effect that the database was out of bonds, whatever this means.
I uninstalled Quotepad and freshly installed it again. Same thing. I uninstalled it again and tried the twin program reviewed in Gizmo's. Same thing!
Does somebody know what to do? I like Quotepad a lot.
Thanks a lot.

My guess is that the existing database was corrupted. You might want to restore a previous database if it exists as Quotepad backups your database automatically to another file.

While running QuotePad, click the Down button and go to Settings > Database > Database Restore, select a working database if it exists, then click Restore.
