HoRrOr mOvIeS tHaT mAdE yOu gO NuMb!!!

I love playing video games and watching movies. Now when the genre comes to thriller/horror movies its definitely one that I can't miss. Watching a movie that makes me to scream or go numb or giving a chilling sensation down my spine is one that I can't forget. Have you watched any movie the tremors of which you're experiencing even now?:D

When I was a teenager I watched "An American Werewolf in London" with a friend. Scared the life out of us at the time! It was the slowly decomposing friend who kept popping up that did it.

When I was a kid, I used to get scared by horror movies, but not nowadays. But, I saw Paranormal Activity last year, and I was actually quite scared, and took me a day or two to get out of it. I remember I had a bit of difficulty sleeping the night that I watched it :D.

The Descent also gave me quite the creeps. Worth a watch if you like these kind of movies. There is also a Descent 2, but its not up to that standard I think. I haven't seen it though.

Paranormal Activity brought a different look to how horror movies can be made. This was a Low budget, Mocumentary film and its box office records are outstanding. A haunted house with just 2 main characters throughout the film. One of a kind and so realistic and that's why it gives me creeps!

Will have a look at Descent sometime. Am not a teenager anymore. I don't know if An American Werewolf in London can scare me now. :D

Ah yes, "The Descent" is a good suggestion!

Another one worth a look is "Creep" starring Franka Potente, it certainly lives up to it's name.

The first movie that really gave me the chills as a kid was "The Thing From another World" - 1951. James Arnes the sherrif from "Gunsmoke" played the
Thing. The horror was more in what you anticipated, not what you saw. A lot
like Cloverfield.

Then there was "The Blob" - 1958 with Steve McQueen. Basicly a jelly donut gone beserk.

Took a while, but "The Exorcist" - 1973 made me never to eat pea soup again.

And last but not least, "Alien" - 1979 - Sigourney Weaver could make you swallow anything.

I'm a horror fan :D
But there aren't many good horrors out nowadays; or maybe I've just seen too much XD

- Ju-on grudge trilogy (Jap version, avoid US version unless you absolutely can't stand subs)
- Shutter (Thailand version, again the US version isn't as good )
- The eye (HK version over US)

I don't know about you guys, but I like watching these movies alone, in the dark at like 2am in the morning with that soft breeze from window ^^

Agreed. It was really made realistic, and after I watched the movie, I even read about it to find out if it was real or what. It was made that realistically. Really gave me chills.

Another one that I found good is The Cave. I had seen this along with The Descent. Both movies are similar that they are cave based films. The Descent is quite creepy.... but The Cave is not bad too.

The Grudge is good series too. I have only seen the first part though.

The Ring and The Ring 2 are also good.

What Lies Beneath was also pretty good.

LOL Terarus, you really create the environment huh? :p
