Good song that, Bo .... my favourite John Denver song is Calypso, which he wrote for Captain Jacques Cousteau and the crew of the vessel;

The sound of the ships bell ringing still gives me the shivers, and brings back some good memories for me

.... this morning I'm listening to the Stax and Motown channel on jazz radio.fr. Some of the highlights for me so far ....

Arthur Conley - Sweet Soul Music;

Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up;

The Four Tops - If I Were a Carpenter;

Great radio station ...

Here is another one from John Denver (Annie's Song). A poster in the Rocky Mountain high video said and I quote, "people don't know it now...but you could not escape John Denver anywhere for about 5 years in the mid-70s if you tried. he was everywhere and all the time. and you couldn't get a ticket to see him in concert, they were in such high demand. an incredible run. "

He is telling it like it was. Thats my feeling and how I remember John. I also remember he had the reputation of being a really nice person, down to earth. A nice human being. Here is Annie's Song.

This next song is one of my favorite. A song I can hear all day long. Love the music and the lyrics, specially the verses about taking a southbound freight train all the way down to Georgia till the train runs out of tracks. Great lines. Here is The Marshall Tucker band playing Can't You See. Enjoy it, this is a hell of a song.

Nice to listen to Can't You See, absolutely a great song and not heard it for a while. Been listening to Paul Simon today, who also has written some great songs.

Never been a huge fan of country music and yet this country song is one of my all time favorites. Dwight Yoakam - A Thousand Miles From Nowhere.

Tom Odell - Can't Pretend;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_xY33Gb1KU

... the song is set to footage of le Tour de France 2013.

This years Tours starts today, my favourite 3 weeks of the year. I can't make it to a stage this year, too busy, so I'm watching the live feeds on my PC and also footage via satellite TV. Live feeds of the race in one browser and doing some work in another browser. All the action captured from cameras from the motos out on the roads of France and from the helicopter flying above the race. Beamed via satellite to places all around the world - including my office at home, enabling me to watch the drama unfold as it happens, stage by stage, and never miss a thing.

Modern technology truly is a wonderful thing

Scott Boyer and Cowboy with Duane Allman playing "Please be with me" (written by Boyer). Great lyrics with nice music. You like guitars? Listen to Duane playing pretty slide.

Last call. When you listen to Little Martha, sounds like Duane playing solo but actually its Duane and Dicky Betts blending their guitars and what comes out is this pretty tune.
