I read your comment about my taste in music the other day. That was nice, my friend. I know you like fast music, I like slow music like the song that I am going to post. I posted different versions of this song before but never the original recording which is the one that I am going to post now.

This version has a story. Neil Young wanted to record this song at such a slow pace that when they did the studio recording, he got the band up at 3 AM in the morning to get the pace he wanted. According to Neil, this is Helpless as it should be.

Edit: I couldn't resist, here is my favorite Helpless version with Neil and his Harmonica, no piano unfortunately and with The Band, cant be better. Love the words he says before the song starts. Joni Mitchell is in there too.

Are we getting enough guitars?

More guitars, only guitars, Haynes and Trucks playing Old friend, I think they were rehearsing before an ABB concert.

Back to the early !980s with a Liverpool band that should have been massive: the Wild Swans. Scroll down to play The Revolutionary Spirit.

With reference to Crazy Horse:

In case you are wondering what the connection is, Ian McNabb (the lead vocalist) made an album with Crazy Horse entitled, Head Like A Rock in 1994.
