One song, three different interpretations. Enter Sandman, by Metallica.

First, Bluegrass version - Iron Horse;

Second, Jazz version - Yun Sun Nah and Ulf Wakenius;

Third, the original - Metallica. Moscow, 1991;

One of the best songs ever, in my opinion, and the original cannot be beaten - almost 68 million views pretty much says it all. But Iron Horse and the bluegrass version have definitely grown on me. We ran a little poll here - and they won!

Whatever floats your boat I suppose.

I ll pick the bluegrass version every time.

Mountain boy playing a mean banjo. I posted this before, great scene from the film "Deliverance", shot in the Georgia mountains.

Been listening to a bit of Bluegrass, when I've had the time Bo - it's still growing on me. I discovered Mean Mary .... Iron Horse;

... quite like it.

This afternoon I'm listening to Jack White.

Missing Pieces;

Not a banjo, but he does play a mean guitar.

This should be an inspiration for kids everywhere no matter what their music preference. Heart stopping.

Bye bye Lou Reed who died yesterday aged 71. He added so much to the music I listen to, so today I'm listening mostly to him and the Velvet Underground.

Lou Reed, talking about taking a walk on the wild side. All the characters that he mention are based on people that he met in NYC. Great song, RIP Mr Reed.

Doo do doo do doo do do doo...all the way to heaven.

One more from Neil. This is a real pretty song, I couldn't find my favorite version, it got deleted by YouTube but this one will do. In the original version, he sang about mother nature being on the run in the 1970s, by the 90s, the line had being changed to being on the run in the 20th century and now he tell us to Look at mother nature being on the run in the 21st century. After the gold rush is a beautiful song with a powerful message.
