Looks pretty cool Jojo.

As an installed OS, do you know if it's possible to dual boot this with existing Linux installations or just Windows? I can't seem to find this info.

I have yet to try it out more. Currently I'm running it on a live USB The pinned apps on the shelf, i.e. the user preferences, are synced on different devices after you signed in to the same Google account on ChromeOS.

On the first try to install it to a laptop which is multi-booting Windows 10 and several Linux distros, CloudReady ChromeOS failed to complete the installation process.

Probably the live USB created by the "Chromebook Recovery Utility" currently can only install the Chromium OS to a Windows 10 device without pre-existing Grub boot entries. Need to find out.

Installing Windows 7 as a VirtualBox guest into another installation of Q4OS. I really do like the Trinity DE. Proof (if was ever needed) that KDE3 did not deserve KDE4 or Plasma5 any more than Gnome2 needed version 3.

It looks quite nice. I haven't tested this one yet. Hmmm.
Worth taking it for a spin?

I'd say yes just for the speed alone.

It needs quite a bit of tweaking to get the best out of it but IMO well worth the effort.

Running Xubuntu 16.04.1 LTS, featuring:
  • Wallpaper of the Week by Rhiannon;
  • The panel with DockbarX plugin, which works closest to Windows' taskbar.

p.s. After installing the distro with Xfce Desktop Environment, the Ethernet connection didn't work well but firing the command in the Terminal solved the issue.

sudo apt-get install r8168-dkms

Running Linux Mint 18 MATE Edition.
Featuring the Dock applet to the panel, which works like DockbarX for the Xfce desktop.
