That's the reason I also used a custom "apple" icon for the start menu. The beauty of Linux - unlike Windows or Mac, you can make it exactly what you want it to be. :)

I've been running Windows 8 with dual screens. Except my productivity went down because I like a pretty picture too much. I'm going back to a single screen because I dislike the incongruity in this extended desktop.

Next to the Google Search app, added a website shortcut to "Gizmo's Freeware" on the Start Screen. The tile was created using this free tool OblyTile.
