Looks like different package with same internals which is probably what you'd realized.

Thanks Remah; i want to give one away but i want to keep the best one, it seems to me Vizio GV 42L has a more modern Schematic service manual, the only thing i spot GV42L has different contrast ratio 1.CR:800 1000 9typ.
The VW42L Has Contrast Ratio of !.CR:550 (typ 2CR with AI:110 (Typ) don't know what this Contrast ratios make one better than the other?thanks and have a Happy Easter.

I would keep the model that looks better. Despite a difference in the specs they may in fact be exactly the same screens and controllers.

Higher contrast ratio is usually better because, for example, the number 550 represents a ratio of 550 to 1. But it is not possible to be definite when comparing the two specs unless you know exactly how they were tested.

There is no standard method so it appears they have been measured differently. The higher figures might represent an attempt to make the contrast specs look better when there is no real difference in the screens. "Typ"/"typ" might mean typical or even type but I've not seen that before.
