Thank you for the advice! I've used Advanced Uninstaller for a long bit now & have had no problems, but as you say, I guess it doesn't mean one couldn't wind up with the Registry destroyed. And I fit in that category which states "I know less than nothing when it comes to the mechanics of Windows" ... so maybe it might be wise to adjust to what you suggest.
But the question still remains - does anyone have any idea what one should do in a case as asked above?
