You should not use this type of program at all unless your knowledge of Windows is sufficient for you to make safe decisions about which entries can be deleted. The Windows built-in uninstall feature is perfectly adequate and a lot safer.

Despite what the vendors of these third party tools will have you believe, having some left over entries in your registry is not going to have any effect on the operation, or speed , of your computer.

Residual files from some software types such as security programs can possibly affect how other programs might operate but these always supply a dedicated uninstall tool such as this one for Avast!
Buy a Hoover and prove technology sucks.
