You might want to consider the type of virus protection you have. I used to use Microsoft Essentials, but it let Java exploits in; these were even in my backups. Researching virus protection, I learned that Microsoft Essentials only finds 80% of the malware that's out there. At the time, AVG was the best available, finding nearly 100% of the bad stuff that tries to get into your computer. This is what I use; they have a free virus protection program which fills my needs. Another virus protection program has appeared which is supposed to have put AVG in second place, but it works for me.
