Regarding the supported devices list, that is only the "official" list. If you check some of the posts within the thread you'll see many people have managed to install CWM on "unsupported" devices (as long as the manufacturer is listed and you choose an older CWM version instead ot the latest). It is a trial and error process I guess.

Anyway, I haven't read anything about RecoverX bricking phones or things like that, so I think it is safe enough to give it a try.
