If my only access to the internet is by using a computer at a local library, and I have never created an email address in the past and I don't own a phone of any kind and I'm unable to give a number belonging to a friend, it would appear to me that giving a false number would be the only option. But wouldn't the likes of Gmail etc., perform a search of database phone numbers or send a verification code that would require a response?

I'll check Tor Mail to see if they accept sign ups without any of the said requirements.
