If you place them on the same graph, you assume they fulfill the same purpose. But they do not. Those are two different world. Like comparing cars with skateboards and bicycles. It's not a same pie gotten smaller, or more cuts, it's two pies.

Tablets have their use, so do smartphones, as well PC. There's a small number of people who will use the former exclusively, and they could not have done in the past because the technology would not let them. But it's no different than the situation of desktop and laptop. Did laptops kill the desktop? Of course not. Same here.
