I tend to agree, whilst remembering there was a similar outcry when KDE moved from 3 to 4.
Although I still quote bits about resource use myself, the old moans about KDE being "heavy" are hardly relevant to modern machines except the lower end laptops.

Certainly E17 has not moved forward and been adopted by as many distros as I thought would happen, so their own upcoming release plus what Bodhi does with theirs when it goes final will ultimately determine how popular E17 is likely to get from here.

I still find Kororaa KDE to be my best overall experience and despite all the glitz it still runs with less resources than Windows 7 on the same machine.

I had hoped that Peppermint would have created something a bit more eye appealing with their 3 release but the screenshots look identical to the last version.
