I bought and used Netobjects Fusion 10 and the great part about that program is that everything is on your hard drive in a directory. You publish the website you have created, and Netobjects turns the code into HTML, javascript, and whatever it needs to do to make it work. So, if the server loses your site, or if you move the site somewhere else, it is a matter of mere minutes to restore EVERYTHING you have done. No need for online backups!
However good this program is, website design has gone further though. I now use Joomla and install whatever module I need to satisfy a function. I just find it much quicker, since results are my priority. If I want to have fun programming, Adobe Flex Builder is my choice. I received it free of charge because I was unemployed, and they may still be offering that option. Doesn't hurt to ask. Now I am trying to incorporate Flex animations into Joomla, that's my next step. Of course, if you want to learn php programming, which is great fun, Joomla is fully able to accept changes in php and css code. The best way to learn that is to install Firebug into Firefox, and observe the results of changes to code instantly before your eyes. A programmer buddy of mine says 2 months and you will be happily writing your own code modules, as he is now doing.
He who finds wisdom finds a good thing.
