The King's Speech.

Bad enough for anyone to have a speech impediment but in addition to detailing this extremely well, the film offers a great insight into the royals of that period for anyone so interested. It also took great courage for the (then) Queen to take the initiative. A truly extraordinary woman. Great performances from all concerned and fully deserving of its four Oscars.

Killer Elite.

Maybe just another Jason Statham "bash 'em" movie with such a farcical, OTT story, until you realize it's based on truth. I was never in Oman but I was in Lebanon during this period and I can easily identify with some of these characters. So, watch the UK Gov earnestly trying to keep its dirty laundry firmly in the basket. Robert De Niro, as often, adds a special touch.
