Peppermint two is now released.

Not minimalistic, but described instead as lightweight, it is good to see this distro still developing.

Now based on Ubuntu 11.04 I had a quick look via a live USB key.

Not as cool looking as Bodhi but many users will appreciate the more traditional layout, menu and settings options. Even so, the entire look and feel has been revamped in accordance with user feedback since version one. Chromium is now the default browsers but there are plenty of alternatives for this and other apps which are easily installable via the Software Center or Synaptic.

Peppermint is a great alternative for those wanting a simpler alternative to Ubuntu or Mint.
Buy a Hoover and prove technology sucks.
