Like many others I started my first Linux experience with Ubuntu not least because since moving to Brazil from the UK it was (at that time) the only distro the techs here could configure to work with my mobile broadband. These days are long gone now with most of the popular USB modems working out of the box.

I've made more of an amateur's effort towards Linux recently, in fact if you follow the threads here you'll see references to me having disappeared under a pile of discarded CD's

Forgetting the lightweights of which Peppermint One is my favorite, I've found Mint to be the most complete full system and wondered how you would compare this with Fedora? I did look at Fedora KDE some time back but it was very buggy, although I've never tried Gnome.
Buy a Hoover and prove technology sucks.
