Actually I found the opposite. With thunderbird all I had to do is enter my e-mail address and password. Thunderbird did the rest.

Evolution prompted me to enter all the settings and then the password wallet insisted to keep my e-mail password. Although Evolution did work well. I'm just used to thunderbird and I like the calendar addon.
