Is there a FAQ on the subject, especially on whether just using (or not using) a particular browser is sufficient to deal with the "privacy issues" or whether there's more to be done in any case (Wireshark, VPNs, etc)? I ask this because some folks might get the impression that merely not using Chrome is sufficient.

In this case, on the one hand, we have the "known devil" in Chrome. How does one assess Iron or Chrome Plus? How much is known about the purveyors of these products? Do the modifications made to these browsers increase or decrease their security relative to Chrome?
