You will get that reply from Terminal as you've not entered exactly the command. It's a double "--" instead of one "-" in front of configure.

Tips: To reduce mistakes in typing and save time, you can:
1. Highlight and copy the command, then in the Terminal, press Ctrl-Shift-V to paste it over. OR
2. Right-click Terminal and select "Always on Top", then highlight and drag the command, drop it inside the Terminal (if you're using a browser which supports drag-and-drop such as Chrome 5.)
