Of course I understand this, as I dual boot, and use virtual machines running Windows to do things I need. (All though windows I also use windows to play games that I could not otherwise, which is a major reason many Linux users dual boot.

It is interesting though that while the "fear factor" of leaving Windows is what keeps many using it, fear is the major factor that caused me to move away from my dependence on Windows. With the current trends of malware threats growing exponentially I decided to eliminate a lot of the risk by moving to what is currently a lower risk platform.
The smallest good deed is better than the greatest intention.
