I don't think the above would work, if Ubuntu is installed on a different partition, or a different hard disk. And, I don't think Ubuntu would just require 27 MB of disk space. It is a full fledged OS, how can it just occupy only 27 MB?

You might be right in the case you are talking about version of Linux that can be installed within the Windows. I have forgot the name exactly, what such versions are called. Still 27 MB of even such Linux is hard for me to digest.
