I was able to install the 64 bit version of Bitdefender. But first I had to uninstall Clam/Klam. After installing Bitdefender I then reinstalled Clam/Klam. Bit defender will run in the background and it also has a drop box that you can drop individual files into for scanning (nice feature IMO) bk7312 also posted some interesting articles concerning linux security:
