Relying on obscurity for security is a mug's game.
The current top malware threats (Backoff, WannaCry, BlackEnergy, Dyrez Trojan, Zeus, Dridex, Gh0st, Mirai, Crowti (ransomware) have absolutely no effect on Linux desktop users so Iím not sure exactly what Linux users need protecting from except perhaps themselves if they run everything with root privileges or install software from outside the official repositories.
Buy a Hoover and prove technology sucks.
