You are right deya.. changing that option in Privacy does make the option of most recent used apps available.

The wordings of the option that "Let Windows track app launches" .. suggests that it will be Windows that will track launches, but the fact that this option is under Privacy suggests that it will really be Microsoft who will track the launches, and therefore, data will be sent to Microsoft about it. As deya says, it will be used to track which apps are popular, etc.

So, I will not turn that option on. This option used to function just fine before letting Windows track the apps... so it doesn't make much sense to me other than that they want to track user behavior in terms of apps & software. I am not up for that.
