I have Compiz and Emerald installed, but cannot run Compiz Start or Compiz Fusion icon from Accessories. However, I can run CompzConfig Settings Manager and Emerald Theme Manager from Settings.
The rotate cube and snow effects don't work. The only thing that is working is the Beryl Red theme within Emerald.

I tried to switch off the compositor (Compton?) but the terminal informed there was no such software.
I can't find anything listed under MX Compositor in either Settings or System and so I'm completely stumped.
