If i'm not mistaken, updates are not just bug fixes but improvements as well.
In fact next to the use of the falsely named "registry cleaners" and even before malware infections, driver updates are a major cause of Windows destruction.

There is a good saying as in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". This is why Linux does not go down the same road as Windows. Users install driver updates because various websites selling this technology tell them they need to and they believe it, just the same as they believe using registry key deleting software will speed up their computer. Laugh?... I nearly died.
