While connecting my desktop running in Linux Mint 17.1 to my Android mobile device, Linux Mint's file browser is able to explore the files stored in the mobile device, without the need to install any driver.

When the same laptop running in Windows 8.1 and connecting to my Android mobile device, Windows' file explorer can't explore the files stored in the mobile device, which currently doesn't have a driver for Windows 8.1

In this case, Linux helps me better than Windows does. Also a good point of having a dual boot laptop.
