EaseUS Todo Backup Free is a great choice for a free Windows backup and restore tool.
|Reliable backup and restore – Emergency disk creator tool|
|Interface not very intuitive|
Besides backing up whole drives or partitions you can also run regular backups of your valuable files and folders. You can do so fully, differentially or incrementally. Also drive cloning does it have in stock and once you get used to the user interface, you will handle all of it quick and with ease.
The free version allows to set encryption and performance settings in the backup options. For each backup you can set a schedule, either start right away, at a certain time or daily, weekly or monthly. Only the Pro version allows to trigger a backup based on an event like shutdown or log off. I could always live without that.
As many other contenders, EaseUS TB can create an emergency startup device for you, e.g. on a USB stick. I highly recommend to do so because in case of a disaster on your system drive you will need to start up and restore from a backup you have taken earlier. What I also recommend is to try it out right after you created it. Just make sure it boots up so you will not have a bad surprise when you really need it.
If you need an easy and reliable backup and restore freeware, you can’t do anything wrong with EaseUS Todo Backup Free.
