Ditto is a clipboard manager which works. It’s simple and easy to use, flexible and powerful, extremely fast and light on resources.
Once you’ve installed the software, carry on using your PC as normal. Copy stuff to the clipboard as before, and paste it if you wish. Or, instead of using the normal paste function, click on the Ditto icon in the system tray and you can see all of the previous stuff you’ve ever copied to the clipboard. To paste any of the entries into the current application just takes a couple of clicks.
Ditto stores unlimited clips in an SQLite database and it has hundreds of settings to play with. To name a few: it has a search box that enables you to find a 3-day-old clipboard within seconds; 3 different virtual clipboards that you can access through dedicated shortcuts; and it has unique network capabilities, making clipboard sharing a reality.
This excellent clipboard manager is actively developed. It is more robust, efficient and flexible than most of its competitors. It will fit the needs of both beginners and advanced users, no matter how they use their computer.
Ditto has been my main clipboard replacement utility for years, and it has been stable. On the downside, it is difficult to use the stickies feature.
The portable version is definitely the best option if you want to try out the program as there is nothing to install – just unzip the downloaded and run the .exe file.
