Funded entirely by voluntary contributions from the member states of the United Nations, the UN Development Programme (UNDP) aims to transform the world by 2030 and helps countries to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDGs are a collection of 17 global goals, which include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, etc.
Can the goals be achieved by 2030?
The UNDP reckons that the Covid-19 pandemic presents an enormous challenge for reaching the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. It has exposed weaknesses in global food supply chains and pushed fragile countries with millions of people to wake up hungry every day.
In partnership with the UNDP, Samsung has created its Global Goals app to allow Galaxy users to contribute to building a brighter future.
If you’re one of the users and would like to support this good cause, get the app to learn the 17 goals, donate to your favorite ones with an in-app purchase, or help raise funds by displaying in-app ads while charging your device.
