Back in September I told you about www.cx.com, a Dropbox-like startup that was offering 10 GB of free storage space for new accounts, rather than the 2 GB offered by Dropbox.
CX has recently undergone a major revamp. Free accounts are still available, offering 10 GB of space, but the web site and client apps have been overhauled. The Windows app is now just a 0.5 MB download, although it does download another 9 MB of installation files when you run it. Once you've done that, you're ready to roll. Any files that you copy to your CX Sync folder on your desktop get copied to the CX web site too, and also synced with any other machines on which you've installed the software. There are currently apps for Windows, Mac and iPad, with others including Android promised to be coming soon.
If you've been put off Dropbox because 2 GB of storage isn't enough, and been avoiding CX because it's too new, now might be a good time to rethink. CX looks like a serious contender in the ever-growing market.

My thanks again to HAN for pointing me towards this useful service.
