Video files that you need to share with others via email or on social media platforms are usually limited in file size, and the most popular messaging service WhatsApp does it within the app to offer you to trim a video before you send it.
There are also standalone video trimmers that you can use with more editing features on mobile devices. VidTrim is the one I use often on my Android mobile with its impressive features, simple and intuitive user interface.
The app applies open-source FFmpeg and MLT libraries and offers useful editing functions including trimming or merging videos, saving video as mp3, grabbing a picture, rotating and adding special effects.
Most basic features are free for use without limitation, and the process is fast and easy when no transcoding needed depending on the source of the video.
The free version also includes some advanced features for trial use with a watermark added to the result video if the transcoding is applied.
