Freeware Games Of The Week (Continuity, LF2)

Oct 9 - Oct 15

A teamwork by 4 brilliant students, invented the game Continuity, one of the best and innovative platformer puzzlers in my recent memory. It's actually a combination of platforming and sliding tile puzzling game.
Gameplay: The game is simple, you have to grab the key and unlock the door to escape. That's not where it ends, the environment is not straightforward, it's actually sliced into different tiles/cards and you are present in one section of the cut tiles. You have to re-arrange and jump from card to card creating the 'Continuity' for the environment and the route to escape. Zooming (spacebar) in on your present card lets you run around and zooming out lets you see the whole set of cards to rearrange and create a new route. There are 32 unique levels in this game having an gradual difficulty curve as you progress.

Little Fighter 2 is a popular freeware PC fighting game for Windows and a sequel to the game Little Fighter (LF1). Little Fighter 2 was created by Marti Wong and Starsky Wong in 1999. The game is hugely popular and especially is the favourite among many, for a simultaneous hot seat game.
Gameplay: There are a number of characters who call themselves as street fighters. But these street fighters have amazing, distinct and diverse special powers that can be unleashed through different combo keys (eg: Defend+Jump+Right etc). Each player attacks his opponents which lower their HP and ultimately defeating them. Different sets of items fall to the ground that can be used to replenish your health or to hurt your opponents. There are different modes to play the game (VS, Stage, Championship, Battle, Demo), various artistic environments and up to 4 human players can  be involved in the game with the rest as computer bots.
You can truly enjoy this game which is very addicting if you have a friend or a couple of them to play as a simultaneous action-packed hotseat brawl. :-) Nevertheless it's still an all-round fun game.

Due to the huge popularity of the game, different versions of the game are available online at various sites ('Others' sites above) including new characters, attacks, maps and taking the gameplay to the next level. These doesn't require installation and are available as zipped files but have slower fps.

Happy Gaming! See you next week..Toodle-oo smiley
