Repair Windows 10 Installation Without Losing Apps & Data
If you're running into issues with your Windows installation, Microsoft has an option to repair your Windows installation without losing your programs and data. This will often clear up any problems you're having. This same process can be used with Windows 8.1, I've used it a few times and it worked well. As always, it's good to back up any files that you need, or create a disk image so that everything is preserved and you can restore your system to it's previous state. If you're looking for places online to store your images, this article has 10 sites you might want to try. There's a mix of well known sites and some less well known services, I like Imgur and have used a few of the others. If you're privacy conscious, it's worth noting that Instagram is owned by Facebook.

How to delete downloaded Windows Update files
Windows Update downloads and stores a lot of files that can take up quite a bit of space. If you're using an SSD drive and have a smaller drive because of the current expense of SSD drives, deleting those updates files can free up quite a bit of space. Or maybe you like to keep your hard disk drive tidy and spacious. Deleting these downloaded files doesn't remove the Windows Updates that have already been installed, so any updates will still be in place.
