The only free program I would never consider replacing is Irfanview which has been the king of image viewers/editors for nearly 20 years now. I can't image anyone wanting to use Windows Photo Viewer over Irfanview.

As far as I know, no image program has been crowned king (or queen) of them all, thank goodness. :) Myself, I'm glad that there are so many free programs available, including Windows Photo Viewer so everyone can find what works for them. It's a good thing one size doesn't fit all when it comes to software, and so many other things in life.......
