Here's a great way to turn 2 or more of your favourite digital photos into a collage. First, point your web browser at http://www.picisto.com/. If you've never used the service before, sign in with your Google, Facebook or Twitter credentials. Then choose a layout for your collage, from dozens of options. As you can see, I chose a relatively simple one with 2 small picture areas and one larger one.
Then choose your pictures. You can upload your own photos from your computer, or pull in images from Facebook, any other web page, or your webcam.
Once you're done, you can add text and shapes. You can change the size, font and colour of the text, and drag everything around with the mouse to get it pixel-perfect. You can even pan the images and change their sizes easily.
When everything's to your liking, Picisto will save the finished collage as a single image that you can download. It will also be made available online, so you can send the URL to your friends, colleagues or family.
The service is free to use. For a small fee, you can also order a print of your finished masterpiece.
